New Green Builders Group Debuts with Earth Day Clean Up | BuildingCTGreen Blog: “The Connecticut chapter of the Emerging Green Builders (EGB) organization is recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council and is overseen by the U.S. GBC’s state chapter, the Connecticut Green Building Council.

Their mission is to share member knowledge, passion and energy to promote sustainability in the communities where they live and work. Led by Lynne Panagotopulos, LEED AP, a design and sustainability professional, and Beccah Eldridge, LEED AP and architect with Steffian Bradley Architects, the Connecticut Chapter of Emerging Green Builders plans to develop several events and programs over the next six months focusing on education and community.

The EGB holds its kick-off event Saturday, April 18, 2009, in honor of Earth Day. Working with the Knox Park Foundation of Hartford and Keep America Beautiful-Great American Cleanup campaign, the members will clean up the grounds of the historic Church of the Good Shepherd in Hartford.”
