Until this spring, grocers didn’t have to label where anything was grown. In March, that changed. The U.S. Department of Agriculture began requiring retailers to identify a commodity’s country of origin. Most produce and unprocessed meats and seafood must bear some kind of sign or sticker indicating where it was grown.
