Director of Economic Development Mark McGovern is planning vacancy surveys for Park Street and upper Albany Avenue next. Eventually Panagore and McGovern want to map out the vacancy rates for the entire city.

Meanwhile, McGovern said the redevelopment of the Colt factory remains a “critically important” project for the city. Los Angeles-based Urban Smart Growth recently took over Colt after the previous developer lost his financing.
