He was the first chairman of the Norwalk Harbor Management Commission, led the preparation of the city’s first harbor management plan and laid the foundation for everything the commission now does.

Tonight, Jonathan Lovejoy, now a resident of Portland, Conn., will return to Norwalk to receive the 2009 David S. Dunavan Stewardship Award. The award will be presented during the Norwalk Harbor Management Commission’s State of the Harbor Annual Meeting at City Hall.
