SOUTHINGTON – The weak economy has caused the developer of Greenway Commons to look for a different source of funding to clean up the old Ideal Forging factory site near High Street. Howard Schlesinger of Meridian Development Partners LLC of New York City has asked the town to apply for a state grant that could pay to clean up the 14-acre property.
