The United Illuminating Co. (UI) will present Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo with a check for $70,116 for its participation in the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund’s (CEEF) Energy Conscious Blueprint Program. Through the programs, the Beardsley Zoo installed electric measures administered by The United Illuminating Company and gas measures administered by Southern Connecticut Gas Company to help save the zoo 127,437 kWh annually.
