Clinton using biofuel for vehicles, buildings – The New Haven Register

CLINTON — A dozen school buses, some Public Works vehicles, and three of the Clinton Connecticut’s largest buildings have just begun operating on biofuel, a blend of 80 percent heating oil or diesel fuel and 20 percent recycled vegetable oil. School Superintendent Jack Cross said the new biofuel program is the community’s first “baby step” toward reducing its carbon footprint.
