WOODBRIDGE — The town recently completed the purchase of the Racebrook Tract property from the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority, and will preserve the land as open space.

The town purchased the 181-acre property in three phases. The total cost of the purchase was $3.1 million. The first parcel, of 61.8 acres, was purchased in 2005, and the second, of 66.5 acres, was purchased in 2006.
