When resident Jeff Hocking approached officials recently with a request, he didn’t realize he had the distinction of being the first and only person in town to ask for a tax exemption for a wind turbine. Hocking, who owns a large farm off Durham Road, is considering erecting a wind turbine as a way to bring alternative energy to his farm and home.
