4th Annual Green Lifestyle Fair on Saturday, March 27, 2010, Westbrook

Shoreline League of Democratic Women Hosts their 4th Annual Green Lifestyle Fair, on Saturday, March 27, 2010, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., at the Water’s Edge Resort and Spa, Westbrook, CT. This free event features Energy Alternatives, Green Home and Consumer Products, Consultants and Service Providers, Energy and Environmental Advocates.

The Shoreline League of Democratic Women (SLDW) will host the 4th Annual Green Lifestyle Fair on Saturday, March 27, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., at the Water’s Edge Resort and Spa, in Westbrook, CT. The Green Lifestyle Fair will feature 58 Exhibitors featuring energy alternatives, green products and services. Industry experts and environmental advocates will be on hand to offer valuable insight into real world energy alternatives, financial incentives, conservation initiatives; and to discuss the most pressing challenges affecting our environment today. During the day, there will also be a Green Book Fair, Energy-Saving Lighting Fair, and Eco-friendly Raffle. Special guest author Nancy Elizabeth Wallace will feature her new book Planting Seeds and Recycle Every Day! Wallace is known for her trademark three-dimensional artwork, and has published more than 20 books during her career. She will be on hand at the Green Lifestyle Fair to sign books and meet the public. The Green Book Fair will carry the latest titles in green lifestyles for adults and children, recycling, lifestyle, and more.

Also during the event, the SLDW will host an energy-saving Lighting Fair with TechniArt Inc. Residential consumers will be able to learn about ENERGY STAR qualified compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFL) and fixtures, and review the features/benefits of energy efficient lighting technologies. Green Lifestyle Fair attendees will be able to buy these ENERGY STAR products at deeply discounted prices to replace their highest-use bulbs and fixtures. TechniArt will perform hands on demonstrations and provide information about lighting and utility conservation programs and services.

About the Shoreline League of Democratic Women
The Shoreline League of Democratic Women is dedicated to educating its members about political and social issues important to women of all ages. Women from thirteen towns in Southeastern Connecticut are encouraged to join the SLDW and participate in the organization’s valuable work in the community. Members can be involved in any capacity, whether it is 30 minutes a month, or 30 minutes a year.
