No tolls for transit

Feds are about to veto Pennsylvania’s attempt to install tolls on Interstate 80, a decision that affects Connecticut’s plans for tolls.

In other words, Connecticut can’t put tolls on its interstates if it intends to use the revenues to fund transit projects, or make up for lost gasoline revenues because vehicles get better mileage and the “temporary” gross receipts tax isn’t churning out the cash it did when gasoline was $4 a gallon.
