TRUMBULL — Residents got support from a major ally this week in their fight to prevent a Danbury-based company from placing a fuel cell plant in a residential section of Nichols.

Gov. M. Jodi Rell sent a letter to First Selectman Timothy M. Herbst calling the proposed site of a 3.4-megawatt natural gas-fired fuel cell plant “inappropriate.”
