Connecticut Fund for the Environment strongly opposes proposal that sweeps energy funds

For the third time in two years, Governor Rell has proposed raiding the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund and the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund in order to fill Connecticut’s budget deficit. Connecticut Fund for the Environment, a New Haven-based environmental group, was disappointed by the news announced this afternoon that the Governor planned to raid 50% of the funds for seven years.
