MADISON — In January, voters at referendum decided to purchase 42 acres at the former Griswold Airport site to save much of it as open space. Monday, more than 100 people stood on the Boston Post Road property to watch First Selectman Fillmore McPherson hand over a check, and receive a deed for the land in return.
