An early 19th Century barn from Easton will soon have a new home.

The Paine Barn has been dismantled and transported to a private residence in Canterbury, a small town in eastern Connecticut, where it is expected to be reassembled this fall.

Last week, a crew from Yankee Restoration removed the structure from just off Maple Road in the 128-acre Paine Open Space in northern Easton.
