Kent Land Trust Gets 28-Acre Vagts Parcel

An 18-month-long dream has been realized with the acquisition of a significant parcel of land on South Kent Road by the Kent Land Trust. Twenty-eight acres adjacent to the land trust’s great blue heron rookery have been donated by Detleve Vagts, whose family for many years owned a more than 220-acre South Kent farm. In recent decades the farm has been leased to the Arno family.
