Invasive vine creeps its way onto Shetucket River’s bank

Sprague, Conn. — State environmental officials are concerned the discovery last month of an invasive vine capable of growing six inches a day in the Shetucket River in Sprague could mean the start of an infestation in Eastern Connecticut.
