EASTON — A mid-20th century dairy barn on Snow’s Farm was added to the Connecticut State Register of Historic Places in January, a designation some Easton residents are hoping will prevent a cell phone tower from being built on that spot.

But the owner of the farm on 550 Sport Hill Road said he needs the revenue the cell tower would bring to stay in business.

Message Center Management, a wireless antennae infrastructure developer, plans to apply for the rights to build a cell tower in Easton.
