A Q&A with Green Party candidate Rolf Maurer | The AdvocateFeb 26th, 2011 | By Environmental Headlines -- CT environmental news | Category: Politics
STAMFORD — On Tuesday night, Green Party candidate Rolf Maurer’s election headquarters was Curly’s Diner. He had spent the day visiting polling stations to raise awareness for his write-in candidacy for the open state senate seat representing District 27. After the polls closed, Maurer went to Curley’s and waited for the results of the special election with members of the PoemAlley poetry group. The 48-year-old candidate has lived in Stamford since 1967 and participated in several local elections, including the city’s 2009 mayoral race. The Advocate wasn’t able to get in touch with him Tuesday night, but caught up with him via e-mail on Thursday.
