Cedar Mountain: Report Suggests That Newington Preserve Cedar Mountain

A report by an independent panel of experts on a proposed subdivision on Cedar Mountain suggests the town should consider buying the land to preserve as open space.

The Connecticut Environmental Review Team issued its report this week on a proposal by Toll Brothers to build a subdivision on the 73-acre Balf property, donating 44 acres of it to the town as open space. The report also outlines steps that could be taken to minimize the environmental impact of the development if it is approved.
