Malloy stop focuses on farms

State agencies need to find ways to work with Connecticut farmers to bolster their profits and promote the importance of buying locally grown goods to ensure the future health of the industry, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy said Wednesday.

In addition to a stop at the 500-acre nursery on Waterman Road, Malloy also traveled to Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic for a roundtable discussion focused on business and competitiveness.
