About 10 miles of the Quinebaug River in Canterbury has been recognized with a state designation for its undisturbed condition, and that designation will open the area up for grant funding in the future.
The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has designated Canterbury’s Quinebaug River Corridor as a state Greenway. The state held a ceremony Friday in Andover honoring Canterbury and several other greenways.
