Are lawmakers’ economic worries trumping environmental protection efforts?

Obsessed with creating jobs and facing increasing industry lobbying pressure, more Connecticut state lawmakers these days are voting against bills to protect the environment, according to one watchdog group.

“The trend is not looking good,” says Lori Brown, executive director of the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters, an organization that’s just issued its latest environmental report card on the General Assembly.
