Reader’s online petition seeks to re-tree Bethel ridgeline destroyed by developers

A letter from a reader:

We have spoken a few times in the past with regards to the “Summit at Bethel” project where Toll Brothers came in and scalped the entire ridge line of Shelter Rock Mountain. I have been researching this project for the past few years and feel that they are not in compliance and that the scale and layout of this project should have never been allowed. To date I have only been ignored by town officials and no steps have been taken to insure that the ridge line is replanted.

It is appalling that in today’s age development practices like this are still allowed. While I might be too late to stop this project hopefully we can raise attention to this problem and have it completely outlawed in Connecticut.

I have attached a link to my on line petition, my goal is to get at least 200 signatures on it by the 1st of April. Please pass it along to anyone that will support it.

Thanks once again & keep up the good work !

Best regards,
