A dispatch from Audubon CT:
Time is running out for open space and wildlife in Connecticut! With only one full day left in the 2012 Connecticut General Assembly Session, we need your help to make sure that Senate Bill 347 “An Act Concerning the State’s Open Space Plan” is passed into law before the closing bell rings at midnight Wednesday.
This common sense, non controversial bill to improve DEEP’s open space efforts passed the Senate by a unanimous vote and is supported by Audubon Connecticut, Connecticut Audubon Society, Council on Environmental Quality, other open space and farmland conservation allies, DEEP, and DPH.
Please take a moment today to email your State Representative. The message is simple: Tell them that S.B. 347 is important to you. Ask them to urge House leaders to bring this bill up for a vote as soon as possible.
Thank you for speaking out on this important issue!
