2 groups sue DEP over N.J. pullout from regional environmental initiative

Two environmental groups sued the state’s Department of Environmental Protection today over New Jersey’s pullout from a regional “cap-and-trade” program last year.

Environment New Jersey and the Natural Resources Defense Council said they filed the lawsuit today in the appellate division of Superior Court, alleging the DEP and the administration of Gov. Chris Christie bucked the state’s Administrative Procedure Act.
