Manchester Seeks More Open Space on Case Mountain

Jul 18th, 2012 | By | Category: General

If officials succeed in buying three more swaths of open space, the town would own most of the Case Mountain area from Spring Street to the Glastonbury line.

Town administrators have entered purchase and sale agreements with owners of undeveloped property totaling about 34 acres in the town’s southeastern corner. The land includes the Case Mountain dam and bridge, stone walls along the historic carriage path and Lower Case Pond. The total purchase price for the three parcels is $620,000.
