Connecticut officials discuss ways to preserve Long Island Sound (video, poll)

Long Island Sound is much cleaner than it was decades ago, but there is much that still needs to be done, officials said Thursday at a roundtable discussion at the Sound School organized by outgoing U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn.

Lieberman, U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., Gov. Dannel Malloy, state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Commissioner Dan Esty and top officials from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Environmental Protection Agency and a host of environmental groups all attended the meeting.
