Even someone who has never patted a tree on the bark, much less hugged one, has to be put off by [the] onslaught of bleak news about the environment. We can argue until the cows get blue in the face on the way home about what and/or who is responsible for all these scary trends, but no one can deny the hard facts. The world is getting hotter.
