Prof offers Southington a free study of its open space

A University of Connecticut forestry professor has offered to study the town’s open space parcels and recommend what should be done to maintain them.

Tom Worthley, a UConn assistant professor in the forestry program, spoke to the Open Space Committee Thursday. He’ll begin the work at no cost to the town in October.
