FuelCell Energy receives funding for carbon capture initiative

FuelCell Energy, a leading developer of hydrogen fuel cells based in Connecticut, has qualified for $800,000 in funding from the U.S. government concerning an ambitious carbon capture initiative.

Backed by the funding, FuelCell Energy will be responsible for the development of a system that is capable of capturing the carbon dioxide emissions that are released by power plants that use coal as a source of fuel.
