Easton residents speak out on logging, warden, 9/11 committee

Everett Road residents in Easton turned out in force at the March 7 special Board of Selectmen meeting, where they packed into conference room A at Town Hall and lined the back walls to air their dismay over clear-cutting of forest land by Aquarion Water Co. on property abutting their scenic road.

aquarion-water-logo-june-2011They submitted a petition signed by 32 neighbors that stated, “The situation created by the clear-cutting and unsightly aftermath left behind has raised alarm and dissatisfaction of many residents. … Large stands of healthy trees are being felled and only partially removed, leaving the land looking like a dump.”
