Barnard School students make positive environmental impact

barnardComposting is just one of the initiatives that led to Barnard’s nomination for a National Green Ribbon Award, explained Marjorie Drucker, the instructional integration leader. The school also has a courtyard garden, greenhouses and nature center. Students plant, cultivate and harvest crops, raise Atlantic salmon and go canoeing — but it’s all tied into the larger curriculum.
