Long Island Sound Summit discusses ways to address problems

One key to address daunting problems such as rising sea levels is to use modern communication tools to make sure people have the information they need, New York Times climate blogger Andrew Revkin said Friday at the 22nd annual Long Island Sound Citizens Summit.

“Jakarta is way ahead of us on sea level rise because it’s sinking 10 times faster than sea level is rising…” said Revkin, featured speaker at this year’s summit, which took place at Iona College with the theme, “Superstorm Sandy and the ‘New Normal’: Rebuilding for Resiliency and Adapting to Climate Change.”
