NRCS Honors Connecticut Women in Conservation

June 13, 2013, was a special day in Connecticut as six women were honored for their efforts toward conservation and agriculture in the state.

Motivated by the theme of this year’s National Women’s History Month – “Women Inspiring Innovation Through Imagination: Celebrating Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics –NRCS established the Women Inspiring Conservation in Connecticut Award. Nominations were solicited from conservation partners and the general public.
