CT Post Editorial: A mixed bag of transit plans

Last week, the State Bond Commission took a step in the right direction, approving $537 million in transportation projects. Included on the list are repairs for 40 bridges, repaving of hundreds of miles of highways and funding for numerous other, smaller projects.

This work is essential. Connecticut has more than its share of overdue repairs, though officials say the situation is not as dire as it had been a few years ago. A functioning transportation infrastructure is essential to bringing the economy back to where everyone wants it to be.
