Leidos to assume ownership of 37.5MW biomass power plant in Connecticut

Leidos Holdings has signed an agreement to assume ownership of a 37.5MW (net) biomass-fueled power plant, being constructed in Plainfield, Connecticut, following receipt of all governmental approvals expected later in 2013.

The plant, which will be constructed by Leidos Constructors, will power around 37,000 homes and will sell its output to Connecticut Light & Power under a 15-year off-take agreement.
