The first of several one-hour walks exploring the Wepawaug River watershed will be held Sunday.

Members of the Wepawaug River Watershed Alliance will meet the public at noon at the lower parking lot of Eisenhower Park, 780 North St., near the pond.

“We all live in a watershed. Everything we do in our watershed affects the soil, water, air, plants and wildlife,” said event organizer Steve Johnson, city open space and natural resource agent.
