Eastern Connecticut farmers and hunger advocates said Wednesday they’ll be monitoring the status of a nearly trillion-dollar farm bill closely in the coming days — and for very different reasons.
“We need a farm bill and some security, and I’m hoping this will provide it,” said Paul Miller, owner of the Fairvue Farms dairy farm in Woodstock. “This was a compromise. But with all the gridlock in Washington, it’s better than nothing at all.”
