U.S. Army Corps of Engineers issuing a Sources Sought Announcement for a dredging project at the Mystic River in Groton and Stonington

Mar 27th, 2014 | By | Category: General

The proposed project consists of maintenance dredging of up to 250,000 cubic yards (cy) of material from the Mystic River FNP (the 15′ channel, the 12′ channel and the 9′ anchorage area). The dredging would restore the channels and anchorage area to authorized depths.

In addition to the FNP, the State of Connecticut has requested maintenance dredging of two non-federal channels. Both are 6-foot navigation channels totaling approximately 30,000 CY of material to be dredged. Both channels are located north of Mason Island.
