Promote Better Water Quality In Connecticut by Sharing Some Photos

Apr 24th, 2014 | By | Category: River, Water

Did you know? Waste water going into rivers in Connecticut is typically only disinfected for bacteria from May 1 – September 30. You can help us document river use so CT DEEP can see the true need for river protection all year long.

Send us photos of you using any CT river from October – April and we will share them with CT DEEP scientists. This evidence will be useful as they find the balance between protecting river users and the negative impacts of disinfection (typically from chlorine). CT DEEP is revising their clean water standards this year so it’s important to act now.

You can send photos of you on the river by emailing jtalbot@ctriver.org. You can also upload them to CRWC’s Connecticut River Flickr group or share them on CRWC’s Facebook page. Please be sure to note the date, where you are and that they have permission to use it. Thank you!
