Connecticut Light and Power has sent letters to its customers notifying them of a possible increase on utility bills.

The letter calls for a flat increase of nearly $10 per month, a 60 percent increase, and another hike that depends on your power consumption.

“The bottom line is about the same thing, more reliable service for our customers,” said Connecticut Light and Power (CL&P) spokesman Mitch Gross.
