Ed Note: Unfortunately, as we have heard, Malloy sees natural gas as “cleaner.” The question is: How can we get him to invest in other forms of energy as robustly as he has invested in natural gas? 

“Cheaper, cleaner, more reliable.” That mantra has guided the energy policy of Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s administration since he stepped into office on January 5, 2011.

An election cycle later, some of those pledges are coming back to haunt Malloy as his opponent, Republican Tom Foley, argues that energy is not cheaper.
