Hartford’s Downtown North project is a chance to enhance transit

Hartford’s Downtown North project certainly has the potential to “expand the size of downtown as well as its residential and commercial base, provide first-rate entertainment in the summer months and make the city more attractive to young workers,” as The Courant editorialized. But the mixed-use development proposal calls for far too much new parking and not enough in the way of improved pedestrian, bicycle and transit infrastructure.
