East Coast cities susceptible to more tidal flooding

The report looks at the effects of rising sea levels in 52 communities along the East and Gulf coasts using National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration tide gauges. New London’s tide gauge, located on the Thames River, shows the city now experiences two tidal floods per year, “but changes in flood frequency could be steep,” the report states.
