Come down to the Newhall site and see deconstruction in action!

Wednesay, June 13, 12 noon
Hamden Economic Development Corporation has contracted with Urbanminers, LLC to deconstruct multiple houses as part of the Newhall Remediation Project
These houses, once slated for demolition are now being carefully taken apart and all of the materials are being reused.
Location: Job site, 1067-1071 Winchester Avenue, Hamden.
Visit the job site on Wednesday June 13th at noon, when Hamden and other local officials will be on hand to see deconstruction in progress. There will be samples of furniture made from the materials removed from one of the houses. And there will also be demonstrations of various construction and deconstruction techniques, including the building of a shed on site using sections of the house we are removing.
