Dr. Richard Benfield, Professor of Geography, Central Connecticut State University

Dr. Benfield’s current research focuses on the geography of floriculture and tourism as a conservation tool. He has traveled to botanic gardens in 115 countries. Recently he began research into the interaction of tourists, botanic reserves and some of the threatened great cats: the mythical snow leopard in India and the South American jaguar in Peru. Free and open to all.
