It’s time to clean out your garage and basement for the household hazardous waste collection day set for Saturday, June 9 at Indian Ledge Park, next to BMX Facility, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for Trumbull, Monroe and Easton residents. Must show CT driver’s license.

New England Environmental Justice Summit, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. June 9, Worcester, Mass., registration ends today!
At this daylong event, community advocates, citizens, lawyers, and policymakers will meet to discuss environmental issues in New England and their impacts on low-income people and people of color. Summit workshops will cover toxics and women’s health, energy justice, urban and rural issues, food justice, and a workshop on Title VI geared to lawyers interested in assisting environmental justice groups. The event will include a listening session with policymakers from each New England state. Free breakfast/lunch/child care. Free admission.

Constitution Park Open House, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 9, Madison
Madison Park Development Committee Chairman George McManus says the committee has set a date of Saturday, June 9th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for an open house for Constitution Park, the town’s newest park.
