New Haven Folk Festival and Green Expo Today

If you are looking for one more concert or festival this summer, here it is: on Sept. 7, 2013, Edgerton Park, 75 Cliff St., New Haven, will host CT Folk’s annual CT Folk Festival and Green Expo. The Folk Festival Stage will feature non-stop live music from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Explore the latest innovations and resources for building a sustainable community at the Green Expo (also starting at 11 a.m.), and take part in the many family-friendly activities scheduled throughout the day.

Kottke headlining 2011 CT Folk Festival, Green Expo, New Haven, Sept. 9-11

The 2011 Connecticut Folk Festival and Green Expo kicks off on Friday Sept. 9, with the Grassy Hill Song Circle, a unique evening of collaborative entertainment.

Four of the hottest musicians on the Indie/Americana scene will play solo work and then accompany each other in a jam-session atmosphere: Mai Bloomfield, Anthony daCosta, Brian Dolzani and Rachael Sage. The Neighborhood Music School’s DoSo Band opens the night and the Master of Ceremonies again this year is Vance Gilbert. The Grassy Hill Song Circle will also be held in the magical atmosphere of Edgerton Park, beginning at 7 p.m.
