CT’s power plants at risk from effects of climate change

Sea level rise coupled with an increasing number of coastal storms can lead to enhanced coastal flooding, threatening power plants and other energy infrastructure located on Long Island Sound and its estuaries.

That according to a memo from Kevin E. McCarthy, Principal Analyst, Connecticut Office of Legislative Research that addresses climate change and its potential implications for Connecticut’s water and energy utilities.
